Carved Miniature Ivory Landscape Huang Chen-hsiao Ch'ien-lung period (A.D. 1736-1795) Ch'ing Dynasty Height: 4.6cm Lenght: 8.8cm Width: 7.2cm A carved ivory riverside landscape with mountains, figures, pavilions, and small bridges. There are thirty- four figures and nine boats. The carving is very tiny, and bears an inscription on the mountain top indicating that this piece was made by Huang Chen-hsiao in a "chi-wei" year (1739) of the Ch'ien-lung Emperor's reign.
